It even has it's original manual, original cord and original pick!
Needless to say, the next day I was on the phone calling the mainland U.S. to try and locate me a Silvertone Dano just like my old one, in like new condition.  After several days phone searching I found one at Fat Dawg's Subway Guitars in the Oakland Bay area.  Fat Dawg has been a Dano aficionado for many years.  Fat Dog would not sell the Silvertone Dano with both original pickups, because the original pickups were too hard to find;  So he would replace the bridge pickup with a Chandler lipstick pickup version, which would require opening the pickup hole up wider with a saw.  NO WAY, send me the guitar with 1 pickup and the Chandler pickup wrapped up to add to my pickup collection on the bench.  As luck would have it I found an original Dano pickup in a slaughtered and defunct Silvertone Dano carcass I had acquired and put in with my junk many years back.  In no time my new / old Silvertone Danelectro sported 2 pickups and was ready for Boogie Woogie.  And that it did.  HOLY COW did it ever Boogie Woogie.
Would someone please put some fresh straw in my stall?
So I did a little investigating to find another source and contacted Evets directly.  Evets set me up a dealership for my Shop and Studio.  Pretty soon my first shipment of U2's came in.  HOLY COW ...I was in Bovine Heaven !  After several promotional sales the word got around and the Dano U2's were selling like Mama Louise's hotcakes with butter and honey.  My best sales tool was to take one to where friends were gigging and just let them play it.  "HOLY COW ...I've got to have one" was a common reply.  Only 2 times out of about 30 such presentations did the person not buy the Dano !  And of course as Evets introduced more Danelectro models I sold more and more.  One Picker Friend has bought 6 now and sold about 3 times that many to his friends and associates for me by word of mouth.  I have several Musician Friends that have bought several Dano's.  And out of several hundred Danos I've sold, not a single one has been returned !  ( Edited: 1 came back since as a trade-in on another model ! ). I even had one Musician Friend who broke the wooden bridge on his U2, but refused to allow me to send the Geetar back for a new exchange, ...fearing another one would not sound as good as the one he had ! HOLY COW !

Holy Smokes ! ! ! ! !
What is the Gospel of the Holy Cow ?  Well, my first electric Guitar and pride and joy was a LP style Framus;  But when I was about 14 years old I had also acquired a Silvertone Danelectro model 1457 in some long forgotten swap with some other kid, just like ones many other kids I knew had; ...you know, the model made with artful curves, sharp cut-away horns and a headstock like the sail of a Polynesian sailboat, with a small amp in a gray hardshell case.  Mine was blood red with a deep brownish red burst along the sides, sprinkled with silver metalflake like on carnival ceramics. Like allot of kids, as soon as we learned to pick The Wildwood Flower our Dad's and Mom's signed the financing for a Fender, ...without paying much attention to the tone of our Silvertones, mostly because we could barely distinguish tone nuances anyway at that early point on our road to gymnasium stardom.
But after about 30 years pickin Geetars my ears became quite keen for tone quality, and I have been known for my Geetar tone for many years now.  And like many other Geetar pickers seasoned by many years of loving fretboard sweat, a guitar just like my old Silvertone found it's way back into my hands at a gig about 10 years ago.  The week before I had admired a Telecaster my friend Woody had installed 4 Danelectro lipstick pickups in, arranged in 2 pairs of 2, humbucking style.  I mean it really sounded good.  As I was carrying on about how good the Tele sounded, Woody asked me if I had played any of the old Danelectros in awhile;  And of course I ran my Silvertone story down to him.  Woody said he would bring a Silvertone Dano to the gig the next week.
So the next week I found myself again playing a twin sister of my old trusty Silvertone.  Let me tell you without any reservations, that Silvertone that night sounded better than any Geetar I had ever played, and had immense tonal quality I had searched for fruitlessly for many years.  Without realizing it, I had acquired enlightenment ...as after only a few songs I shouted out HOLY COW !
Now folks, at that time I had about 10 electric Geetars I had hung on to over the years for their exceptional tone and playability.  I had been playing mainly a '71 Telecaster I bought from Gregg Allman while he was holed up after the bust.  I was also playing a wonderful and magic'68 ES335T that a friend gave me on perpetual loan because I had admired it for many years.  Well, after taking the Dano to gigs it quickly became clear that it would be my Main Squeeze, and not very long thereafter my only Squeeze !  No other Geetar could come anywhere close to the tonal quality and versatility of the Dano.  And invariably, just about anywhere I played, other Musicians would comment HOLY COW that Guitar sounds incredible !
Just before Christmas of 1998 I learned that Evets Corp was going to re-release Danelectros.  So I went to my then favorite local Geetar store to check them out as soon as they came in.  HOLY COW ...they sounded fantastic with all of the original non-aged tone intact ...and the craftmanship was Superb !  So I knew right away that I had to have some for my small Shop and Studio out in the country.  After trying to swing a deal with that favorite Geetar shop for a shipment of the Dano's (to keep them in the loop), it became apparent that I was not the customer friend to them I thought I was.  They actually sold a single Dano to a friend of mine for less than what was offered to me each for a shipment of them.  Oh well, ...not the first folks to outgrow their pants, ....different strokes for different folks I guess.
If you have not discovered the Gospel of HOLY COW with a Danelectro, I invite you to come out to the shop and let's fix that situation.  I won't / don't preach;  All I have to do is hand you Danos to fondle and play ...THEY PREACH !  I am sure you too will exclaim ........
